Compatibility
When using Absente, everything (well, almost everything) is acceptable: Absente can be poured over shavings or ice cubes. Those who love strong sensations drink it immediately. Those who prefer a savory and bitter taste can simply add cold water to Absente. Followers of the tradition carefully follow the time-honored practice of placing a sugar cube on the slotted spoon of an absinthe spoon and balancing it over a glass. Then water is slowly poured in. This dissolves the sugar and Absente becomes an opalescent green.
Scent
Subtle aromas of anise, mint and spices in spirits and essences give Absente its balance, finesse, freshness and its amazing ability to linger on the palate.
Taste
Absinthe is very characteristic. It's a clever blend of absinthe, wormwood, green anise and balsam: delicate, sweet and slightly spicy.
